These are not quite the best light conditions, except for the first and second one, so results may vary. Waiting for a pal to come back home from Egypt so we can go out for a street photography session. Do hope that under brighter light the quality will improve a bit.

Festivalul Folk Ziua de Maine 2011
Last weekend (11-13 November 2011) we had the seventh edition of the Folk Festival "Ziua de Maine" hosted by Vali Serban. I took this opportunity to test my new lens - Tamron AF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 DI LD Macro 1:2. Although it lacks any optical stabilization and the aperture is not very bright and, even more, some of you might think that I don't know what I'm doing... well... here goes nothing:
Vali Serban
Vasile Şeicaru
Ducu Bertzi
The optical quality doesn't rise higher than the price range expectation, but I didn't bought the lens for that. I needed a cheep zoom for my dslr and that's what I got. But considering the light conditions, that I did not use a tripod and the iso got to 1600, I think I'm safe to say that it's a decent lens and that I will have a lot of fun with it. Coming soon: some macro shots and some daylight test.
